This was nice! I loved the graphics and the on-going fear of a jumpscare! I really hope to see more from this. I was at the edge of my seat! Here is my playthrough, with my feedback at the end! I hope you enjoy!
It’s so cool that this was a dissertation, do you already have plans how the whole game should look like? And was the dissertation about the mood or the game design as a whole? I think the atmosphere was great but of course due to the brevity the story was a bit confusing, so I would love to see where this will go.
Hey thanks so much for the video! The dissertation itself was about how to create fear through environmental storytelling so that was the main focus! If I were to continue this I would definitely tie more story elements together as loose as they are. Thank you again for playing!
Ah, yes, I was wondering if it was more about creating a fearful atmosphere and on that account you really succeeded with different elements, I hope you got excellent grades for it!
Damn, that ended too quickly. It is not often that a video game, even better being a horror game, can make me grin whilst feeling an immense fear. This demo gives off such an amazing atmosphere, so similar to the Layers of Fear games, being a feeling of horror that doesn’t rely on jump scares and popups. It doesn’t require any build-up to achieve this, which is simply impressive. Bravo to the developers, I hope to see more in the future.
Very .. strange game. On the one hand, the aspect of the one whose tragedy it is is clearly visible here, according to the same crying of a child and a monster. But on the other hand (given that this is a demo), it is not yet clear what the corpses and satanic signs mean: are these elements of the environment that show the inner world of the gg, or does it have some direct meaning to the plot, and why did she lose your child. In general, while everything is not completely clear, but at the same time the game has potential and is quite scary, so I liked it.
The game had a creepy atmosphere but I'm not sure where the story was going and the ending seemed so rushed . Overall good job! The game is first and starts at 00:07

For being a demo, this was pretty good! Definitely seems inspired a bit by P.T. especially the sound at the end. Made a video on it.

Such great tense horror atmosphere! I wish there was maybe a scare or two at the end but overall fantastic job!
I liked this one! Included it with another demo in this video :)

As a parent, there isn't anything worse than to lose your child. Parents are supposed to 'go' before their offspring.
Although I have no personal experience in this, I do feel this game excels in giving/sharing a haunting sentiment of loss and tragedy.
Hence my, "Carpe Diem" stance in life.
Thanks for making this game.
Thank you for the video and the comment, it's very insightful and I appreciate it!
